Judi
Hi! I'm Judi and I am an artist in the true sense of the word. Not only do I love portrait photography, but I am also a musician and a painter (acrylics, oils and watercolor). My whole life I have always loved creating beautiful things. I am inspired by a sunset, a flower, the laugh of a baby, and the ocean waves crashing on the shore. I find inspiration in the beautiful world we live in and I want to share the beauty I see through my eyes with others.
I first started in photography on a Olympus 35mm film camera when I was in high school. My father was a photographer and taught me photography as an art. While he photographed a few weddings (and I was his assistant/second shooter and lugger of his gear) his real love was nature and landscape photography. He passed this love and knowledge through to me and I have been shooting ever since. When I met Kevin, we opened Bluebonnet Imaging which was primarily a wedding photography business. We photographed many weddings together but found as our children grew older, their commitments to their events had to come first. Now that they are mostly grown, we are back in the business along with our oldest daughter, Virginia.
When not behind a camera, I am music teacher and loves watching sports especially football and basketball. I play the flute and piano and loves being involved in theater productions.
I also love anything that is purple and my favorite food is lobster. During the summer I got to our local food truck, The Lobster Buoy, at least once a week for a lobster roll.
Kevin
This is my husband Kevin. Originally from the great state of Texas, Kevin moved to Maine in 2011. After we married in 2012, we started shooting weddings together. Kevin's strength as a photographer is his love for finding emotions and unique perspectives. On wedding days, Kevin will often follow the groom as Virginia and I follow the bride.
Kevin is also the technology specialist on our team. He has a degree in Computer technology from Eastern Maine Community College. So much of digital photography revolves around the use of technology today, his role on our team is vital to assuring our customers receive their images in a timely manner.
Outside of photography, Kevin also loves sports and music. He currently is a football official in the Central Maine area.
Virginia
Virginia has recently joined the team. She has been around photography for the last 10 years and has seen pretty much every aspect of the business. Virginia is excited to be photographing events and weddings alongside Kevin and Judi.
Virginia is not only extremely creative, but she is amazing with people. She has a deep intuition and that is evident in her photography. She has a gift of seeing emotions before they happen and being in the right place at the right time to capture those emotions. She is also our organizer and keeps our team running smoothly and on schedule at events.
Virginia also works for the Bangor School Department and is wife to Brett and mother to Brianna and Hermione.
